GNOSS guide for… social networks from GNOSS

If you want, GNOSS may be the panel to organize your digital identity on the Net. We want to make the work easier for you, that’s why we’re adapting to your interests. GNOSS lets you share  the resources you choose with the most important social networks.

When you go to the resources of a community, GNOSS gives you the option to export those contents to another network. Under the resource tags, you will find a row with the icons of the most important bookmarking services and networks (we accept more proposals, let us know your suggestions). Now, GNOSS connects with Facebook, LinkedIn, Delicious, Reddit and Negóciame.

For Twitter, we’ll explain more options to you:
  • Personal ‘tweets’: it enables you to write ‘tweets’ from GNOSS. To do that, go to ‘Edit profile’ in your profile (the personal or the organization one, if you are an administrator). On that page you will find an option that says ‘I have a Twitter account’. Click on it and enter your user name. Twitter will ask you for your password later. Since then, you will be able to send your ‘tweets’ from GNOSS.
To use this new service, click on ‘Tweet' from your ‘I want to...’ menu. A text box will appear and there you can type in what you want and continue the conversation with your Twitter contacts.
  • ‘Tweets’ of a community: the microblogging service has become a media to communicate in an efficient and direct way. GNOSS offers you a new option: you can automatically broadcast on Twitter all your GNOSS community content. Each time you upload a resource you will see a ‘tweet’ with the file title, internet address… you have uploaded to GNOSS. The message will be completed with the hashtag you’ve chosen previously for your community. To activate your Twitter channel, you have to go to the ‘I want to’ menu, click on ‘Manage the community’ and then go to the ‘Utilities’ tab. Here you will find the option ‘Activate Twitter account’. The microblogging service will ask you for the username and password that you registered on Twitter previously.
  • User profile on Twitter:Our new application lets you see the profile of a user on Twitter. To do this, go to 'People and Organizations' and look for the person you want to find. Once found, go to his profile. If he has enabled his Twitter account in GNOSS, next to his biography you will see an option to 'Follow me on Twitter'.
