GNOSS Guide for... researchers
GNOSS promotes knowledge development in collaborative research teams or working groups. GNOSS allows advanced management of resources and projects for foundations, universities or private companies. Always with the privacy that GNOSS enables.

Working Group on GNOSS
A research group work with documents that contain valuable information that is shared on a very limited field. These resources are materials that are evolving and always require modifications that the team members make. We talked about working connected, but with simplicity and agility. GNOSS offers a flexible management of a project through its different types of communities.

Easy access
A university or a private organization that promote a working group need a place in internet for share information among its members, and generate the reflection necessary to improve the project. GNOSS is the virtual space for them FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. They only need an internet connection.

Maximum confidentiality
You can create GNOSS communities with the degree of privacy you need. The group may request a PRIVATE community and a team member will only work on it with the invitation of the manager. The contents will be visible within GNOSS, but never beyond its net, so the search engines won’t index the resources.

If this privacy level is not enough, there's another possibility: a PRIVATE ROOM community. This space doesn´t appear neither in GNOSS directory nor in search engines. To be a member of it, you have to receive the invitation of its manager. Confidentiality is guaranteed as determined by the project manager.

External inputs
GNOSS is conversation. The group decide what level of visibility in internet and allow you to share knowledge. If the bet is the development of a PUBLIC or RESTRICTED community, the team can improve with collaborations and the opinion of other GNOSS users. You can even test the response of target users with a profile related to your interests. It’s the Web 2.0 essence.

Collaborative documents
The team can share in GNOSS the file types that the manager determines. One recommendation: test collaborative documents (wikis). These resources involve the users the managers wants to work with. It is a very useful document for creative processes to determine the different contributions of each user and comparing the work. You can follow the evolution of your project with wikis.
