Can I share resources among communities?

Would you like to share the same resource in several communities you participate in? Good news: there’s no need to upload it to each one of them, you can publish it in a community and share it with other communities. The first thing to do is to publish the resource in a community. Once you’ve done it, you’ll see the resource detail page. There you’ll see an actions menu including ‘share’. Click on this option and you’ll see a combo with the communities in which you participate. Simply select the community in which you want to share the resource and categorize it. If you want to upload a resource to your personal space for resources, the easiest and fastest way is to go to your I want to menu of MyGNOSS and click on ‘Add a new resource’. Also, you can do it from your personal menu by clicking on My profile. You’ll see a blue menu with the utilities of My profile, My Resources among them."  All the GNOSS spaces for resources, including your personal space for resources, have an index. In particular, all personal spaces for resources of GNOSS users have two default categories: private resources and public resources. They can’t be changed, but you can set up any new categories you need and organize them as you want, just as you organize your folders in windows.At the ‘Categories’ button of your personal space for resources you have all the actions to do it. If you click on the little triangle to the right of ‘Categories’, you will see that you can create a new category. How do I find content I’m interested in?

In GNOSS you can search for people, organizations and resources thanks to its search tools. Several GNOSS search engines allow you simple and advanced searches through tags and metadata of people, organizations and resources. This is possible thanks to our aggregated search algorithms that follow the semantic graph of information. How? Click on the tag you’re interested in; GNOSS will filter the results according to that tag and will show you a new tag cloud so that can refine your search, allowing you to add a second tag by clicking on the + sign. At the top you will see the two tags you have selected. If you prefer, you can also navigate through the index of categories and explore what resources are categorized into each of its categories and subcategories.

How can I add content to a community?

To upload a resource to a community, the first thing you need to know is that you have to do it from the community. So, if you’ve just started a new session in GNOSS, first go to the community where you participate and want to upload the resource. Once in the community (recognizable through its logo and monochromatic menu), you have to click on the resources tab of that menu and, once inside the resources page, click on ‘add a new resource’, select the type of resource and go on with its description filling in the fields that we offer. To publish a resource all the fields are required.
