2020 visions: "For the first issue of the new decade, Nature asked a selection of leading researchers and policy-makers where their fields will be ten years from now. We invited them to identify the key questions their disciplines face, the major roadblocks and the pressing next steps"El siguiente artículo de Laura Tardón titulado El pensamiento humano podría iniciar las búsquedas en internet publicado por Elmundo.es resume el contenido de 2020 Visions :

Switzerland has established a major new drive in Neuroscience by forming the Brain Mind Institute. It is a rare opportunity to form a Neuroscience Institute that is unconstrained by tradition, constructed as a network of closely related laboratories, on a foundation of futuristic technology, in a manner that can be recurrently interconnected with labs around the world and a vision to go beyond established concepts to explore the emergence of higher brain function. The BMI is composed of an international faculty with a target of 18 laboratories and more than 200 researchers. The BMI is dedicated to exploring the emergence of higher brain function across multiple levels ranging from gene expression to cognition and covering multiple brain regions including the primary sensory and motor areas...

The International Society for Intelligence Research was founded in 2000 as a focal scientific society for researchers in human intelligence. The society's Journal Intelligence publishes definitive, high-impact work on the key issues in intelligence, its causes and consequences. The Society hosts an annual meeting for the presentation and discussion of novel research in areas as diverse as the structure of ability, its social correlates, and the basic neuroscience, biochemistry and genetics of intelligence, as well as links to developmental, educational, geriatric study and the fields of anthropology and evolutionary psychology.
